Change in
Sunday’s Workout
The water temperature in Silver Lake was 58-60 degrees
this morning, so I think the Open Water Swim is best postponed for a couple of
weeks. Even with wetsuits, it’s not going to be real comfortable.
So I am changing the workout to do the bike ride we weren’t
able to do last class.
Meet in the classroom at 7:00. We will have a very
quick class session and then start the ride no later than 7:30. We will
meet for the ride at the south end of the RecPlex parking lot. I will
have cue sheets for the ride. We will do the following:
1. Ride
of the Trek Bike Course / first half of the Pleasant Prairie International
Course (approx 12.4 miles)
2. When
we return to the RecPlex, if you are not going to ride any further, do an
optional 10-20 minute run
a. For
those doing the Pleasant Prairie International Race, you should continue and do
the rest of your bike course (approx another 12 miles).
b. For
anyone else who would like to ride further, or if you are doing the Pleasant
Prairie Sprint, we will continue to ride the Sprint Course.
c. Optional
10-20 minute run when we return from the Sprint course.
Remember to bring all necessary bike gear, water bottle,
helmet, etc.
Also, remember: bring swim and run gear to every class, regardless
of workout scheduled. That gives us the flexibility in case the weather
is bad or we have to switch things up for another reason.
Changing Saturday’s workout: since we will
be biking on Sunday, switch the Saturday May 21 workout to a run. Pick
one of the runs previously on the workout schedule and do it again.
Uniforms: I am finalizing the details for the Tri
Tops and Tri Shorts – I will have pricing this weekend.
