Reminder on Saturday, April 13 classes

Classes this Saturday are at the RecPlex, not the run along the Kenosha lakefront.

Half Iron / Half Marathon class - meet in the Blue Room as usual at 7am. Workout will either be a run outside, or optionally you may choose to swim in the Aqua Arena (50 meter lanes). If you plan on doing the Marathon's Long Training Run on Sunday, best strategy would be to swim on Saturday.

5K Class - meet in the Blue Room at 9am as usual; we'll run outside if the weather allows.

All classes: next Saturday (April 20) we'll try again for the Kenosha run.

Saturday, April 13 class will be AT THE RECPLEX.



Because of the current crummy weather and forecast for Saturday, I’ve decided to cancel our run on the Kenosha lakefront (Simmons Island to Carthage) and move the class back to the RecPlex.

Half Marathon & Half Iron class:  We will meet in the Blue Room as usual at 7am, then run outside if the weather is acceptable, and on the indoor track if not.

5K Class: We will meet in the Blue Room as usual at 9am, then run outside if the weather is acceptable, and on the indoor track if not.

Remember: Saturday, April 13 at the RecPlex.
 
We’ll try the Kenosha lakefront again the following Saturday, April 20.

UPDATE: Danskin Tri Training Class for Saturday, July 23

No class at 10am.  Plan to attend the 7am lake swim and/or the 8:30am 5K run.

Lake Andrea Swim on Saturday, July 23

You will need to get to the beach via Hwy H. The entrance to Prairie Springs Park will be closed at Hwy 165 at 6am due to the Prairie Family Days events.

Also, be advised that Park Drive from the Beach Pavilion to Hwy H will be closed at 10am to prepare for the fireworks. If you're doing the lake swim or Prairie Family Days 5K, and park in the gravel area by the beach, you'll have to move your car by 10am.

5K Training Program

This 5 week training program will help you prepare for a 5K run, including the RecPlex Family Walk-Run on Saturday, May 8th.  You will receive running workouts with strength training programs and running logs.  The training is geared for geginner to intermediate runners.

Introductory meeting Saturday, March 27 @ 8am at the RecPlex

Class meets Saturday, April 3 through Sunday, May 2
(Due to the Wisconsin 1/2 Marathon on May 1, the class will meet on Sunday, May 2)
Saturdays, 8:00-9:00am

Classes for May 9

A reminder that both classes will be doing the Family 5K race on Saturday. We will meet in the classroom at 7:30am for a brief lecture, when walk over to race a little after 8:00. The race begins at 8:30.

I will have race numbers and goodie bags in class.

There will not be a separate 10:00 class this week.
