RecPlex indoor triathlon keeps triathletes active for their 2011 races

Illinois and Wisconsin triathletes got a head start on their race season at the RecPlex’s Indoor Triathlon on Sunday, January 16. Consisting of a 10 minute swim in the 50 meter pool, 20 minute spin bike ride, and 15 minute treadmill run, the race is the first of six indoor and indoor/outdoor triathlons scheduled at the RecPlex this year.

RecPlex Indoor Triathlon Results

Congratulations to Bill Gilmore and Jodi Staral, overall winners in the RecPlex Indoor Triathlon #1 on January 31.  Overall Results and Age Group Results have been posted.

You may want to check back a couple of times in the next week or so to see if there are any updates. Unfortunately, I don't see any penalties column, so if those are added it may change some of the "official" finish times. (Rules violations are usually a 2 minute penalty for the first offense and 4 minutes for the second.) The USAT officials were furiously going over paperwork the couple of times I walked by, so I suspect there will be some penalties assessed.
